How booking, hosting and money work on ParkStash.Booking a space
Search by address, pick your dates, and book. Some spaces confirm instantly; others go to the host to approve. You'll see which before you commit.
Instant booking confirms immediately and charges you at checkout. A request goes to the host first — nothing is charged until they approve, and the request expires on its own if they don't.
Yes, and what you get back depends on the host's cancellation policy, shown on every listing before you book. Flexible refunds the most, firm the least. Cancel from the booking page.
Messaging opens once a booking is confirmed and paid. It keeps every conversation attached to a real rental, which is also what lets us help if something goes wrong.
Hosting
Tap "List your space" and work through the steps — address, what kind of space it is, photos, price and availability. You can build the whole listing before creating an account.
Open the booking and approve it. You need a verified identity to approve requests or enable instant booking — that's what lets us pay you out.
You set a day price and a month price. Stays under 30 days use the day price, with an optional weekly discount from day 7. From day 30 the month price applies, pro-rated by day — so 45 days costs one and a half months.
Yes. Take it offline and it stops appearing in search while keeping its reviews, photos and booking history. It stays in My listings so you can put it back.
Payments & payouts
For an instant booking, at checkout. For a request, only once the host approves — nothing leaves your card while you're waiting.
No. Long rentals are split into monthly payments, charged a few days before each month starts. You can see every payment and its date under Payments.
Each payment is held until the rental period it covers begins, then released to you. It's the window in which a renter can report a problem, and it's why Payments shows "in escrow" separately from what's already yours.
5% of each booking, taken from the host's side. The price a renter sees is the price they pay.
Deposits are arranged directly between host and renter, off the platform. We don't hold, charge or refund them, so agree the terms in writing before handover.
EU rules (DAC7) require us to report hosts who pass a threshold of bookings or earnings in a year. We ask once you get close. Without it we can't approve further bookings.
Safety & problems
Verification is what unlocks approving bookings, instant booking and payouts. It's also the badge renters look for. You can start it from Account settings.
Each extra day is billed at 150% of the daily rate, charged automatically to the card on file. If it reaches 14 days the case escalates as abandoned property and we get involved directly.
Report the issue from the booking page. That pauses the host's payout for that period while it's looked at, which is why reporting early matters more than reporting in detail.
